Alice Jacquelyn Green

April 24, 1939 — August 21, 2016

Alice Jacquelyn Green, age 77, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. She was born April 24, 1939 in St. Petersburg, FL. She was a graduate of Gibbs High School (1957) in St. Petersburg, FL. She was a member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church and former employee at Central State Hospital. She served many years as a foster grandparent and served as a volunteer at Plymouth Settlement House. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Willie Mae Allen Blake; her sisters, Madra Simmons and Jeanette Blake.

Alice is survived by her children, Juliette Green, Louisville, KY., Belinda Wilson, Owensboro, KY., and Julius Green, III, Louisville, KY.; siblings, Walter Blake (Margaret) of Castro Valley, CA., Mary Williams of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Janice Youngblood of Louisville, KY., Abraham Blake of Louisville, KY., Brenda Chenaut (Artours) of Lexington, KY., Keith Blake of LaFayette, IN., Wyvette Blake of Louisville, KY. and Tangela Careathers (La Mar) of Chattanooga, TN.; many 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10am-11am, Saturday, August 27, 2016 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church 2973 Wilson Ave, Louisville, KY 40211, with funeral ceremony at 11am there. Burial will follow in Louisville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
