Alice Faye Kouns

Alice Faye Kouns, 76, of Louisville, passed away on August 14, 2016. Faye was born in Evansville, IN on May 3, 1940 to the late Howard and Alice Compton. She graduated from Male High School in 1958 and the University of Louisville in 1962. She met her future husband, Michael Kouns, while attending LMHS. Faye and Michael spent time away from Louisville from 1963 until 2004 during their working years before settling back in this area. She retired from Kaiser Permanente in 2001 and was a member of Southeast Christian Church. She was involved with the Lion's Clubs International for many years with Kid Sight. Faye also loved caring for her many cats throughout her life.

Faye is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, David Michael Kouns.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) with visitation from 1:00 pm until time of service.
