Alex Roller

October 10, 1940 — February 8, 2017

Alex Roller, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on February 8, 2017. Born in Poland, Alex is a Holocaust Survivor, having fled Poland with his family during German occupation. His family arrived in America in 1952 and he became a United States citizen in 1959. Alex was a US Army Veteran. He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 32 years.

Alex was a devoted family man with strong family values. Those values passed on to his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Yetta Roller; father and mother-in law, Albert and Rosalie Gaddis; and daughter-in-law, Kim Roller. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 54 years, Theresa (Gaddis) Roller; three sons, Keith (Lea Ann), Steve (Angie), and Rick (Amy) Roller; sister, Sally (Freddie) Fliegelman; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to those who helped take care of Alex, he loved you all.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday, February 13, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 2:00 pm until time of service.
