Alesha G. Washington

Alesha G. Washington, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 2, 2026, in her hometown at the age of 40. Born on October 22, 1985, in Louisville, Alesha was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose life was marked by kindness, strength, and devotion to those she loved.

Alesha graduated from Louisville Central High School in 2004 and went on to attend Alabama State University. She built a career of service through her work at Baptist Health Hospital in the ICU, where her hard work and caring spirit reflected the compassion she carried throughout her life. She was also a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where her faith was part of the foundation of her life.

She loved her family deeply and was known as a hard worker who persevered to the end. Alesha was kind, sweet to those around her, enjoyed making others laugh, and she brought warmth to the lives of many. She enjoyed traveling and embraced the experiences and memories that came with it, always carrying with her the love she had for her family and community.

She is survived by her sister, TiAndrea Washington; her brother, Isaiah Washington, Jr. (LeNesha); her nephews, Derek Bell, Jr., Donovan Bell, and Nasir Washington; her nieces, Tiana Crenshaw and Naima Washington; and a host of extended family and friends. She will be remembered with great love by her family, who will continue to cherish her memory and the bond they shared with her.

Alesha was preceded in death by her father, Iziash Washington, Sr.; her mother, Debbra Washington; her grandfather, Ludie Washington, Sr.; her grandmother, Peggy Washington; her grandmother, Mary Franklin; and her grandfather, Donald Franklin, Sr. Their memories remained a part of her life, and she now rests in peace with those who went before her.

Visitation will be held on October 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location. A graveside service will take place at 2:15 p.m. at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, Kentucky 40216.

Alesha G. Washington will be remembered for her gentle heart, her perseverance, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved her.
