Albert Thomas Hunter

August 4, 1939 — March 11, 2015

Thomas Hunter of New Albany, IN died on March 11, 2015 at age 75.

Tom graduated Augustana College in 1961, and Lutheran School of Theology in 1955, Rock Island, IL, and was ordained by the Lutheran Church in America in 1965. He served congregations in Newport, Richmond-Berea and Louisville, Kentucky. He also pursued a career in community service as Executive Director of the Kentucky River Foothills Development Council in the 1970s, and worked at the Housing Authority of Jefferson County from 1982 until he retired in 2001. He was a member of Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral, Louisville, and a reliable supporter of the music program.

He is survived by Gerald L. Tschiegg, his beloved partner since July 1982, and husband since June 2014, by the Rev. Marcia G. Hunter and their children, Catherine (Jeffrey) and Christopher (Deborah), grandchildren, Lisa, Christa, Sarah, and Arron, and a host of friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21 at 11am, Christ Church Cathedral, 421 South 2nd Street, Louisville, KY 40202. info@christchurchlouky.org
