Albert Bon Johnson

Albert Bon Johnson, age 72 of Taylorsville, Kentucky entered into rest Friday, March 1, 2019, at his home surrounded by his children and family. Albert was born December 12, 1946 in Greenville, Kentucky to the late Louis and Voneva Johnson. He was the 7th of 10 children. He attended Jackson High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He went on to work for Bashford Manor Healthcare, where he became a supervisor as a floor tech. He met his "sweet petunia bug" in 1968 at Drakes. Albert was a man that loved God! He was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church of Taylorsville, where he accepted Christ as his Savior along with his son Adrian in September of 1977. Albert was a wonderful man whom so many loved. He always had a smile and a kiss for you. He loved to sing in and out of church. He also loved fishing and UofL! Albert had a very kind and caring spirit and touched everyone he met. Besides his parents, Albert is preceded in death by his two sisters, Martha Sizemore and Betty Southall; and two brothers, John Johnson and Don Terry Caldwell.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory his loving partner of over 51 years, Cheryl Downs; his children, Adrian, Andrea and Albert Johnson, Jr., Deon Harper and Antonito Downs; four sisters, Hazel Caldwell, Belinda Caldwell, Brenda Johnson and Ernestine Brown; brother, Michael Caldwell; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends whom he loved so much.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm Friday, March 8, 2019 at Second Baptist Church 401 Jefferson St, Taylorsville, KY 40071. A celebration of Albert's life will be 11 am Saturday, March 9th at the church, with burial to follow in Valley Cemetery in Taylorsville, Kentucky.
