Albert Jackson Campbell, Sr. 91, passed away on December 29, 2017. He retired from American Air Filter after 44 years of service. Albert was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going hunting and was a loving husband and father who always put his family first. He was a man of strong Christian beliefs, loved the Lord with all of his heart and was a perfect example of Christianity to everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Lizzie Campbell; infant sister, Rachel Juanita Campbell; brothers, Reverend Charles Campbell and Max Campbell.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Bessie Campbell; children, Patricia (Foster) Newman, Carol (Mark) Conklin and Jack (Tone) Campbell; grandchildren, Jason Conklin, Sr., Josh (Courtney) Conklin, Brittney (Morgan) Ferguson, Bradley (Olivia) Campbell, Jonathon Campbell and Daniel Rosberg, great-grandchildren, Jason, Jr., Brody, Nathan, and Weston Conklin, Abby and Millie Campbell, and Bruce, Peyton, and Bella Ferguson and Emily Newman; brother, Dan (Margie) Campbell and sister-in-laws, Joanne Campbell and Audrey Campbell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Wellman Memorial Wesleyan Church, 3220 Bohannon Avenue, Louisville, KY, from 10am-2pm with a celebration of Albert's life beginning at 2pm.
Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY.
