Albert N. Barger, Sr.

Albert "Neal" Barger, Sr., 48, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Neal loved to hunt, fish, and golf in his spare time and also enjoyed playing cards and scratching lottery tickets. Out of all his hobbies and pasttimes, Neal's true love was spending time with his family.

He was born on November 17, 1969, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to Eva D. (Jeffries) and the late Albert L. Barger. Along with his father, Neal was preceded in death by his brothers, Randall L. and Bryan A. Barger.

Along with his mother, Neal is survived by his sons, AJ Barger (Sarah) and Brent Barger; brothers, Gregory K. Barger (Carol), Jeffrey D. Barger (Debra), Michael K. Barger (Bonnie), Jerome D. Barger, and Dennis R. Barger; many nieces and nephews; and fiance, Kathryn Milliron.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

The family requests that Memorial Donations be made to the Salvation Army (Indiana Divisional Headquarters, 6060 Castleway West Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250).
