Alanda "Lamb" Standard, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on January 15, 1950, to Homer and Irene (Jupiter) Williams in Louisville, Kentucky, Alanda exemplified love and devotion in all aspects of her life. She was a remarkable wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched countless hearts. Known for her delightful sense of humor, Alanda always placed the needs of others before her own and lived her life with deep compassion.
A passion for literature ignited in her at just three years old, she found joy in the pages of a good book and relished the opportunity for meaningful conversations, particularly those centered around her faith and relationship with Jehovah. Alanda's spirit shined bright, and her laughter will forever echo in the lives she touched.
Alanda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Garry Standard, her father Homer and mother Irene Williams, and beloved siblings, Theron Lewis, Estelle Lee, Sharon Buford, Jerome Williams, Lester Williams and Kennita Ellegood. Alanda is survived by her loving children: Donald Smith, Jr., Anthony Smith, and Michael (Deltricia) Smith. She is also survived by her sisters Genine (Will) Lee-Ford, Brenda Smock, Darlene Donigan-Williams, Carolyn Williams, Debora (Robert) Maddox, and Jackie Williams, alongside three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will treasure her memory eternally.
