Alan Douglas Watkins, 56, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. He was born on May 29, 1962, in Sidney, Ohio, to Ronald Watkins and the late Judith (Krukenberg) Watkins.

Along with his father, Alan is survived by his long-term partner and friend, Mary Johnson; children, Amanda Watkins, Chad Watkins (Shelby), Brandilynn Watkins, and Christopher Watkins; stepmother, Carol (Bonini) Watkins; siblings, Gale Watkins Cooke (Dan), Brian Watkins, and Amy Watkins Todd (Randy); step-brothers, Gino Coughran (Amber), Dan Coughran; grandchildren, Tyler Austin Olexa, Ashton Thomas Myers, Oliver Edwin Myers, and Emma Marie Watkins; nieces and nephews, Jaclynn Todd, Nathan Todd, Haley Todd, Randi Leigh John; and many other family members.

Cremation was chosen following Alan's wishes. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
