Alan Stuart Dennison

Alan Stuart Dennison, 79, of Louisville, KY passed away on October 22, 2021.
He was the son of the late Wilbur and Annabel Dennison. Al retired from LG&E after 36 years. He was generous with his time with family, church, and community. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and New Directions Housing Corporation (Repair Affair) for 20 years. He enjoyed the many years of volunteering along side his good friend and confidant Bill Veasy. Al married his sweetheart in 1964 at 23rd and Broadway Baptist and later were members of Midlane Park Baptist. In 2005 joined West Broadway Baptist Church where they have been active members. Al was a devoted husband, loving father, grandpa and pappaw, and he will be missed dearly.
Al is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann McCormick Dennison; sons, Keith Alan (Kim) and Greg Alan (Tonia); grandchildren, Dana Bratcher (Rob), Ally, Clay, Luke, and Charly Ann Dennison; great grandchildren, Beau and Beck Bratcher; and sister, Linda Martin (Ken).
A service to celebrate Al's life will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 28th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). Al will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Hanging Rock Cemetery in Leitchfield, KY.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to Victory World Outreach Good Samaritan Children's Orphanage in Malawi Africa. Al was a long time supporter of this work. Victory World Outreach Good Samaritan Children Home, 10910 Cedar Creek Road, Louisville, KY 40229
