Alan Dale Shepard, 53, of Georgetown, Indiana went home to be with Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 8:50 a.m. (Pacific Time) at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, California.
He was born on December 23, 1961 to George Dale and Patricia (Hauer) Shepard of Brownstown, Indiana. Along with his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Maria (Semones) Shepard; sons, Jacob Dale Shepard, Daniel Alan Shepard, David Paul Shepard; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Shepard; eight nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and good friends.
Alan was preceded in death by his sister, Gina Shepard Ballard and her husband, Brent; in-laws, Paul and Heidi Semones; and niece, Grace Semones.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Contributions in Alan's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
