Agnes Boggess Jonischkies, 92, of Cordele, Georgia, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 in Georgia.
Agnes was a former teacher in Jefferson County and the Catholic School Systems. She graduated from Spalding University with a Masters Degree in education and pursued advance studies in special education at the University of Louisville.
She was an Owensboro, Kentucky native and was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Catherine Boggess, by her late husband George Jonischkies and her sisters, Mary Catherine Johnson, Joan Boggess, Elaine Nelson and Joyce Moodey.
Agnes is survived by her step-daughter, Mona Rae Jonischkies; step-son, George A. Jonischkies; and many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10am to 11am on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, with a celebration of Agnes' life to follow at 11am. Private burial will be at New Castle Cemetery in New Castle, Kentucky.
