Adelyn Marie Campbell

Adelyn Marie "Ree" Campbell, age 89 of Louisville, returned to her heavenly Father on Sunday, August 26, 2018. She was born on January 18, 1929 in Three Springs, Kentucky. She was a member of Evangel World Prayer Center where she volunteered on the Prayer Line. Ree was formerly employed at FAMCO/American Air Filter. She then returned to school and earned her cosmetology license and later owned her own hair salon in the Shively area. Ree was preceded in death by her children, Stanley Joe Bruce, Mark Bruce and Robert Campbell, Jr.; parents, Ernest and Thelma Cook; brothers, Leon Cook and Larry Cook; and her sister, Avis London.

Ree is survived by her loving children, Kenny Bruce (Barbara) and Robyn McKnight (Kevin); grandchildren, Cheryl Stytle (James), Angela Huntsman (Terry), Stephanie Bruce, Lauren Chesser (Cameron), Lindsey Schanie (Grant) and Robert McKnight; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Derek, Charlie, Paisley, Blakely, Keisha, Taylor, Sarah and Ivory, and one on the way; brothers, Carey Botts Cook (Joyce) and Tony Cook (Gladys); and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3-8pm Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Ree's life will be 11am Wednesday, August 29th at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
