Adam C. Drury, 86, of Otisco, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. He served in the United States Army. Adam was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Charlestown and an auxiliary member of the Clark County Sheriff's Department. At the age of 14, Adam began his career as a heavy equipment operator. He retired from the Army Ammunition Plant and was the owner of Drury's Backhoe Service.
He was born on June 2, 1935, in Louisville, Kentucky, to M.C. and Moudie (Foster) Drury. Adam is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanette (Bindner) Drury; children, Mary "Lisa" Evans (Jack), Harold Drury (Diane), Michael Drury, and Kina McKinney (Darin); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Cremation was chosen following Adam's wishes, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. Michael's Catholic Church (101 St. Michael's Drive, Charlestown, IN 47111). Adam will be laid to rest at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Charlestown.
