Ada Howell , 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019.
Ada retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Louisville, and was a member of Valley View Church. She enjoyed reading, quilting and learned to like fishing. Meme's home was known for its hospitality and good food. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was born on August 13, 1935 in Reedyville, Kentucky to James and Ora Armes. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Eva, Dorothy, Idella, Joyce, Jean and Nelda; brother Marion; and son-in-law Bob.
Ada is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Doyle "Mickey" Howell, son, Mark (Tammy) Howell, daughter, Lisa Senn, granddaughter, Michelle (Alan) Masterson, grandson, Jacob Howell, granddaughter, Lindsey Howell, granddaughter, Sarah Howell, great-grandson, Caleb Masterson, great-grandson, Henry Masterson, brother, Ronnie (Barbara) Armes.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy. Visitation will also be Saturday, September 7 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the funeral at 12:00 at Cornerstone Community Church, 10803 Deering Rd. Louisville, KY 40272 with burial to follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, Green County, KY.
