Abraham Bellard

Abraham "Dave" Bellard, 69, passed away on July 22, 2016. He was born on July 1, 1947, and was one of 14 children. Dave was a United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam war. In his free time he enjoyed going to the Post on 28th and Greenwood and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and 2 brothers.

Dave married Esther Dobbins in 1974. He no children, but in union he had 7 step-children, Deborah Dobbins, Charlesetta (Ricky) DuBose, Martha (Bobby) Wright, Theresa Coleman, Roderick Dobbins, Kevin Young and Breon Young; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna, Lula and Marie from Minneapolis; sister-in-law, Birdie from Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Dave's life beginning at 1pm.
