A. "Dallas" Embry, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. Dallas attended Louisville Male High School, where he excelled in ROTC, joined the United States Army in 1966, and served for four years while stationed in Germany. After leaving the Army, he was employed by the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, where he still worked until his death. Dallas was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music of any genre. He was one of those often-unnoticed people who worked to keep things moving.
He was born on June 1, 1947, in Hartford, Kentucky, to the late Audie Embry and Nannie (Tarrance) Raymer.
Dallas is survived by his loving sisters, Nancy Dale (Gary) Carroll and Shelley Karen (Morris) McDonald; 6 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and -nephews; and loving cousin, Douglas Grunwald.
