In Memory Of
Michael Anthony "Mike" Taylor
1966 - 2023

On November 7, 1966 as the sun rose a new son, Michael Anthony Taylor was born in Louisville, KY to Roberta McCracken and Winthrop Taylor, Sr.

On May 24, 2023, as the sun set, Michael was called home after fighting a long battle with cancer. As Michael was called home, he was met at the pearly gates of Heaven by his sons, Michael Nellom and Brandon Nellom; mother, Roberta McCracken; father, Winthorp Taylor, Sr; sister, Sonja Taylor; brother, Ricky Taylor and the mother of his children, Cassandra Nellom with open arms.

Many will greatly miss Mike for he was loved beyond words. He was always the life of a good time, even when he was a child. Mike had the ability to make you smile and laugh on a bad day even though he was good at given you hell to; it was his way of showing he cared. He was the kind of person that would to go above and beyond to help anyone in need. Mike would give you his shirt off of his back or his last dollar. Simple words can not express the man that Mike was and had grown to become. He was the strongest man ever know; he was a father figure to so many of his family and step-children. Mike was always there. He will be greatly missed, forever loved and always remembered. His memory will continue to live on for many years to come.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of 15 years, Melinda Gayle Whitaker-Taylor; daughters, Michelle "Belly" Taylor and Chassidy Nellom; step-children, Maurice Porter, Victoria "Tori" Taylor and Roeisha Taylor; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Mia Kay Taylor, Tina Churn-Jones, Winthorp Taylor, Jr. and DuJuan Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, June 9, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Reception, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Mike's life beginning at 1pm.

Mike will be laid to rest at Green Meadows Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.

Sleep in peace our beloved, hold our places, for one day we will meet again, becoming a whole family even ones that you have never gotten to meet.
