Mattie D. Adams, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

She was born June 1, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joe and Mary (née Little) Bell. In 1976, she married Walter Adams and in the same year symbolized her dedication to Jehovah by water baptism.

She is preceded in death by her husband Walter; her brother, George Bell and her sisters, Tosca Bell and Patricia Ann Wilson.

Mattie is survived by her children, Joseph Bell (Melissa), DelTonya Hatcher (James), Deltricia A. Smith (Michael), Frances Nichole Smith and Jerry Adams (Lisa); 11 grandchildren; one for whom she was a caregiver (Kanisha), and 5 great grandchildren.

Mattie is also survived by her siblings, brothers, Willie Joe Bell and Major Bell; sisters, Alberta Shepard, Mary Joe Jones, Ruth Lewis, and Bobbie Renae Bell and a host of other dearly loved family and friends.

The Memorial service for Mattie will be held at 3pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1630 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd., Louisville, KY 40203.
