In Memory Of
Patricia Ellen "Patsy" Ashley
1944 - 2023
She was born on December 7, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Mary Catherine (Thomas) Hallahan. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Gibson, son, Kirk Gibson, brothers, Shane Hallahan, James Hallahan, Danny Hallahan and sister, Susan Hallanhan.
Patsy had a love of life that reflected in all she did, whether going on many adventures with her devoted husband Buck or spending time with her kids, grandkids, enormous family or friends.
Her pervasive thousand-watt smile was always present, regardless of the situation or her condition and her reply when asked how she was, was more often than not, ‘I’m fine baby, how are you?’
An avid athlete in softball, and golf and even things like fishing in lakes or the ocean in Florida, she excelled in everything she did, much like her 30 year career in workforce management.
She found solace and joy in her garden watching the hundreds of birds that would visit their feeders each day. It was here that she wanted and was able to spend her final days surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Edward Ashley; sons, Mark Gibson (Jeanine), Matt Gibson, Mitchell Gibson (Lorna), step-sons, Steven Ashley (Stacey), Patrick Ashley (Jennifer), step-daughter, Jennifer Trombley (Brenda), grandchildren, Megan Mayer (Trey), Sarah Gibson, Max Gibson, Abby Gibson, Natalie Gibson, Anna Grace Gibson, Norah Kate Gibson, step-grandchildren, Andy Ashley (Rabecka), Madi Cooper, Dawson Ashley, Peyton Ashley, Mykaela Ashley, Tristan Ashley, Rachael Ashley, great-grandchildren; Cora Mayer, Crosley Mayer and siblings; Bonnie Duggins (Shelby), Sharon Schlatter, Timothy Hallahan (Kathe), Michael Hallahan (Cecelia) and Cathy Greer (Gary).
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the funeral home.
