Harry Andrew Bryan Jr., 95, passed away peacefully after a short illness to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 with his family by his side.

Harry was an avid U of L sports fan, golfer and cyclist to the end, who had a wacky sense of humor, dearly loved his family and friends, and enjoyed traveling and family vacations, music, gardening, and sitting with his wife beneath their pergola throughout the year. As a professional mechanical engineer, he worked at Bechtel and C&I/ Girdler, later co-founded C&I Engineering, and served as President and CEO before retiring. Harry was a Kentucky Colonel, past president of the Kentuckiana Square Dance Association, board member and volunteer at The de Paul school, and active member of Rotary Club and Southeast Christian Church, where he sang in the Worship and Master’s Men choirs and participated in Bible study.

Harry was born on August 21, 1927 in Louisville to Harry and Antoinette Hinkebein Bryan. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Norma Ruth Ems Bryan; parents, Harry Andrew Bryan, Sr. and Antoinette Bryan; and sisters, Mary Ann Cole and Rose Lee Crutcher. Harry is survived by his second wife, Beverly Jean Bryan; children, Mark Bryan (Anita), Lisa Seitz, Sandra Guarderas (Cesar), and David Bryan (Toni); grandchildren, Alyssa Guest (Ed), Michal Ennis (Chris), Megan Seitz (Corey), Bryan Guarderas, and Andrew and Matthew Bryan; and great grandchildren, Annelise, Cassie, and Violet.
