Mary Loretta (Booth) Schenck of New Albany, Indiana, entered her heavenly home peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2023. She was born January 2, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky, to John and Elizabeth Booth. She graduated from Providence High School in 1958. She soon met and married her husband, Stanley J. Schenck, and they married on June 17, 1961.

Loretta is survived by her sisters, Margaret Becht (Anthony) and Roberta Black; sister-in-law, Julia Booth; and brother-in-law, Paul Ehringer; as well as her son, Bradley Schenck; her daughters, Stacie Rost and Kim Rowe (John); grandchildren, Morgan Rost (Nick), Chase Rost (Nikolette), Brea Ferguson (Jon), Katelyn Rowe, Skylar Rost, Shelby Hanger (Logan), and Shari Rowe. She also had four great grandchildren, Jalen Ferguson, Ledger Brown, Ellanor Ferguson, and Ronin Hanger.

Loretta was a wonderful homemaker, who looked after her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Loretta cherished the time she spent with her family and enjoyed hosting many family gatherings. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind, loving mother, Meme, and great-grand-Meme with a huge heart. She was a member of Holy Family and a devoted Catholic. Loretta had a humor like none other, a smile that could light up a room, and a laugh that was contagious. She will be deeply missed and leaves behind many wonderful memories.
