Loretta is survived by her sisters, Margaret Becht (Anthony) and Roberta Black; sister-in-law, Julia Booth; and brother-in-law, Paul Ehringer; as well as her son, Bradley Schenck; her daughters, Stacie Rost and Kim Rowe (John); grandchildren, Morgan Rost (Nick), Chase Rost (Nikolette), Brea Ferguson (Jon), Katelyn Rowe, Skylar Rost, Shelby Hanger (Logan), and Shari Rowe. She also had four great grandchildren, Jalen Ferguson, Ledger Brown, Ellanor Ferguson, and Ronin Hanger.
Loretta was a wonderful homemaker, who looked after her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. Loretta cherished the time she spent with her family and enjoyed hosting many family gatherings. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind, loving mother, Meme, and great-grand-Meme with a huge heart. She was a member of Holy Family and a devoted Catholic. Loretta had a humor like none other, a smile that could light up a room, and a laugh that was contagious. She will be deeply missed and leaves behind many wonderful memories.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery.
