Jo-Ann Harris, 82, passed away on March 15, 2023, with her daughters by her side. She was a 1958 graduate of Manuel High School. Jo-Ann was a devoted Christian faithfully worshiping at Ridgewood Baptist Church, where she became one of the first female Deacons of Ridgewood Baptist Church.

Jo-Ann was a partner/business owner of the Bennington Corporation, a Management Consulting firm working with minority highway contractors in Kentucky, North Carolina and Georgia, where she made an indelible mark. She was also partnered and manage the operations for The Learning Center at Valley Christian Church.

She loved traveling with Ned, reading, helping others that were in need, enjoyed organizing events and donating her time.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Harris; parents, Joseph and Margaret Gaddie and her brother, Charles Gaddie.

Jo-Ann leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Kim (Dennis) Staley, Shannon (Steve) Collins and Jenny Johnson; grandchildren, Kyle Knieriem and Simon Johnson; numerous adopted grandchildren; sister, Judy (Paul) DeWitt; nieces, Sherri (Phil) Peercy and Michele (Greg) McGaha and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of Jo-Ann's life will be Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Ridgewood Baptist Church, 6209 Greenwood Road, Louisville, KY 40258, beginning at 3pm.
