Rosialee "Rosie" (Crider) Carter, 83, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023. She enjoyed playing Bingo, horse racing, and traveling.

She was born on October 27, 1939, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to William and Rhoda (May) Crider. In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Red" Carter; granddaughter, Elisha Mullins; and great-granddaughter, Kiaira Mattingly.

Rosie is survived by her children, Jeffrey Carter (Teresa), Martha McMahel (Larry), and Scharley Scott; sisters, Mary Ann White and Janet Jones; grandchildren, Juanita, Eric, Cindy, Amanda, Brian, and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Shane, Jayden, Ethan, Dylan, and Jesylyn; and great-great-grandsons, Anthony and Liam.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Owen Creek Cemetery in Charlestown.

Contributions in Rosie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
