In Memory Of
James N Chooljian, II
1943 - 2023

James Nishan Chooljian, II, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He was born on March 25, 1943 in Houston, Texas to the late James N. and Ida M. (Collins) Chooljian. Jimmy grew up in Groveland, Massachusetts, where he attended Haverhill Trade School and worked for the Town of Groveland Highway Department. He retired from Multi-Metals/Vermont American in Louisville. Jimmy loved restoring classic cars, listening to rock ‘n roll from the 1950s and ‘60s, and collecting movies. He especially loved a good one-liner and finding humor in daily life. He took great pride in a well-told funny story, a freshly mowed lawn, fixing broken things, and finding a good deal. Most of all, he loved his family.

Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Gail Nall (Mike Murphy) and Cheryl Chooljian; his granddaughter, Eva Nall and bonus granddaughter Stella Murphy; and his loving companion of 22 years, Linda Leatherland and her family.

Visitation will be 3 to 5pm on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a celebration of Jimmy’s life there at 5pm.
