Lena Mae Claxon was born on September 20th 1940 in Alabama. She passed away on January 20th 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was 82 years old at the time of her passing. She was a remarkable lady who had her catering business. She lived in the Highlands most of her life. Lena Mae was a wonderful wife, an amazing mother, a good daughter and beloved sister.

Lena Mae leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Donald F. Claxon, Ellen Claxon Singhiser and Russell D. Claxon; daughter-in-law, Annette Claxon; her sister, Gena Faye Spivey; her grandson, Donald E. Claxon; and her great-granddaughter, Lucy Claxon; and a host of relatives and friends.

The wishes of Lena Mae Claxon are that anyone may make charitable donations in her name to the Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky.

A gathering to remember Lena will be from 12 to 2pm on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
