William B. "Bill" Clarkston
1940 - 2022

William B. Clarkston, 82, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, surrounded with love and music.

He was born on February 12, 1940, in Hustonville, Kentucky, to the late Noah Clarkston and Mary (Young) Clarkston. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Tungate and Patty Lee.

Bill is survived by his nieces and nephew, Maggie Wenning, Annafaye McAdams, Ann Moore, Joe Lee, Mary Ellen Lee, and Hope Mullinax; and life partner, Betty Huffman.

Bill worked for Shireman's Farm Market for many years and had a smile and laughter for many of Shireman's customers. Bill, a.k.a."Wild Bill," had wanderlust and, as an adult, hitchhiked across the country three times and made his home in Washington State for many years. He loved to laugh and tell jokes, and he enjoyed a good game of cards with his cousins. Bill was a special man. He had a quick wit and had a very kind soul. Bill will be missed.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Harrison Healthcare in Corydon, Indiana. While our uncle was there, he was treated with the best of care and was loved.

Bill loved animals, and we ask that if you would like to do something in Bill's memory, please donate to The Harrison County Animal Shelter.

Cremation was chosen following Bill's wishes, and no services will be held at this time.
