Richard A. Ewing, 74, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022. Richard was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a hard worker all his life and if you needed help he was always there. He was a giver of all he had. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready for a joke. Those who knew him loved him and those who didn't missed out.

He was born on June 25, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Buford and Roberta (Curtsinger) Ewing. He is preceded in death by his Father, Buford Ewing, Mother, Roberta Ewing, Son, Edward Marshall Evans, Grandson, Joshua Edward Evans, and Siblings, Barbara Gregory and Terri Russell.

Richard is survived by his loving Wife of 31 years, Bonnie Caroline Ewing; Daughters, Tamatha (Terry) Bradley and Sandy (Bradly) King; Grandchildren, Jadalyn Evans, Tristan (Maddie) King, Jenaleigh Evans, and Tyler King; Great-Granddaughter, Willow Grace King; Siblings, Sue (Milford) Hatfield, Cheryl (Thomas) Frye, Tony Ewing, Tylena (John) Bohannon, and Bonus Brother, Greg Boyles; Four Legged Best Friend, Toby, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with cremation to follow.

The family requests that contributions in Richard’s memory be made to The American Cancer Society.
