Wanda Jean Bowman, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed Saturday September 17, 2022, peacefully at home with her daughters by her side. She was born June 26, 1950 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Eurl Lee and Estella Dillon. Wanda found Christ at an early age, and was baptized at 7th Street Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. High, of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She graduated from Male High School, and later attended Spencerian College for fashion design. She was a self-made author of many poems and prayers, which she wrote for family and friends. Wanda published one of her poems “House Guest or House Pests”, which was featured in Eternal Portraits. She was always available, and willing to sew items and do drawings for those who needed her. Reading was a huge part of her pastime, which she enjoyed doing. Yes, “A Jack of all Trades” she was. She embraced being a child of God, and taught this to her daughters. Wanda was all about showing love to everyone, and opened her door to everybody. The bond between her and her daughters, was unbreakable. “Smooches” WJB

Wanda leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughters Angela Carson(Prince), Anisha Williams(Alphonso) and Lisa Bowman. Four grandchildren, Sasha, Malik, Bre’Anna and Cheyenne. Four great grandchildren, Skyy, Chase, Storm and Jaxx. Five siblings, Stella, Patricia, Anthony, Earl and Annetta. Four siblings preceded in death, Melissa, Ricky, James, Larry and Aunt Geneva Cole, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
