Timothy Lee Bolton
1950 - 2022

Timothy Lee Bolton, 71, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born on December 27, 1950, in Birmingham, Alabama. Tim was a proud veteran of the United States Army, who served for over 40 years, retiring at the rank of Command Sergeant Major (CSM). He signed as a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds and was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame for Softball. Tim also spent many years as security for the country group Alabama and many other country favorites (June Jam Events). He held the homerun record for the June Jam softball event. He loved spending time tinkering with his cars, fishing, playing softball, and watching stars and planes in the night sky. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and rivaled with his family over Auburn ("Roll Tide!"). His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He held a special place in his heart for babies and elderly people. Tim will be lovingly remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.

Tim is survived by his wife, Teresa Bolton; mother, Cecilia Bolton; daughters, Christy (Bryan Hogeland) Bolton and Nicole (Brian) Duckworth; stepchildren, Melanie (Channock) Banet, Blake (Niki) Belles, Sarah (Isaac) Simmons, and Tristan Belles; sisters, Betty Jo (Lance) Hunt and Tina Jamison; grandchildren, Kayla Duckworth, Braden Duckworth, and Dylan Bolton; step-grandchildren, Isaac Banet, Malachi Banet, Titus Banet, Jude Banet, Elias Simmons, Dallas Simmons, Odessa Simmons, Penelope Belles, Sabastian Belles, and Mackade Belles. He is preceded in death by his father, Hershel Bolton; sister, Patsy Padgett; brother, Nick Bolton; sister, Ava Bolton; and brothers-in-law, Dan Jamison and Carey Padgett.

Cremation was chosen following Tim's wishes. A Celebration of Life with family and friends will be at Hill City Church (6639 Saint Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a service immediately following.
