Shirley June Burdine, 86, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022. June was a member of the Barbershop singing group, the Sweet Adelines. She also enjoyed her membership with the Red Hat Society. She was always very involved with church and was most recently a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Floyds Knobs. June loved cooking and was a gifted seamstress.

She was born on January 4, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Joseph and Mary (Wheatley) Rambo. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Burdine; son, Keith Burdine; and her siblings.

June is survived by her children, Susan (George) Hinkle, Mark (Stephanie) Burdine, and Jena (Bill) Hale; grandchildren, Courtney Hale, David Hale, George (Alicia) Hinkle III, Joseph (Cookie) Hinkle, and James Hinkle; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane) and on Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. A Private Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in June's memory can be made to Choices for Women (2656 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
