Catherine “Ann” Abell Roby, age 89, of Danville, Kentucky passed away on June 14, 2022. She was a retired Macy’s sales associate and expert gardener and homemaker. Ann was known for her poise, style, and love for her family. She was a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church in Lexington, Kentucky.

Ann was born on September 25, 1932, Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Mary Catherine Abell (Ryan). She was also preceded in death by her grandson, J.P. Roby Wright; her sister, Mary Miles; and brothers, Thomas Abell and Joseph Abell.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Julie Roby Wright and her husband, Phil Wright; son, John Roby and his wife, Christi Nall Roby; grandchildren, Chelsea Roby Hunt (Joe), Cassie Roby, and Mary Catherine Wright Beath (John); great-grandchildren, Julia Adele Beath and Charlotte Ann Hunt; siblings, John Abell, Linda Crow, Alli Abell Bowen; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Church (4001 Victoria Way, Lexington, KY 40515) on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00am.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Home of the Innocents at 1100 E Market Street, Louisville, KY 40206.
