Daniel Joseph Zaepfel Life story video
Daniel Joseph Zaepfel, 65, of Clarksville, Indiana, was born on April 2, 1957. to the late Joseph and Lillian Zaepfel. in New Albany, Indiana. He passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, after a battle with cancer. Danny was peacefully called home while his wife and best friend of more than 40 years, his daughter, son and sister were by his side.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Danny you were blessed. He was a funny, kind and just all around down to Earth awesome guy. Everyone who met him immediately liked and respected him. His humor was the very best part of Danny. If you were his friend, you were his friend for life.

Danny loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of his heart. His grandkids were the light of his life. They loved their Pawpaw so very much, but he loved them even more!

Music was another love of Danny's. He played drums when he was younger and his Amazon play list has 190 songs on it. Danny was in the tire business most of his life He was the owner/operator of Carmerica at one time. Danny knew and respected most all the tire folks in the area.

Danny and his wife had just recently retired and hoped to spend their golden years traveling and enjoying watching their grandkids grow up. Sadly, God had other plans. He will be missed so much more than words can express. His family will miss his smile, kindness and caring, but most of all, his humor.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Phyllis Bosco Zaepfel; children, Jake, Blake Coburn (Bryan), Chris (Samantha), Joey; sister, Mary Lou Trindeitmar (Joe); two nieces, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his memorial service taking place at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Danny's memory may be made to Hosparus - the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany IN 47150).
