Melanie Swincher, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Melanie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She would spend hours playing games, and loved going out to dinner. Melanie loved her pets and will dearly miss her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was born on May 26, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her Parents, James & Florine Shoptaw.

Melanie is survived by her loving Husband of 34 years, Stanley Swincher, Son, Taylor Swincher, Daughters, Rachel Swincher, and Lorie Heinz, Brother, Terry (Diana) Hammer, Nephews, Jeff Hammer, Jason (Courtney) Hammer, and Jonathon Hammer, Great Nephews, Ryland Hammer, Greyson Hammer, and Deven Hammer. Melanie also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Friends and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).

The family requests that contributions in Melanie’s memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
