John Frederick Weaver II, 36, was born to Patricia Grigsby-Kimberly and John Frederick Weaver Sr. On March 28, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky along with his two siblings, sister, Patrice, and eldest brother, Darryl Grigsby. John attended elementary school in Louisville, then went on to attend Doss High School where upon graduation, he received his degree in general studies.

Lil John, as he was affectionately known to the family, was a loving and soft spoken young man that love to travel with his father during the summer as his Dad drove across country to see the world in his eighteen (18) wheeler truck. You could often find Lil John anxiously awaiting his Dad’s arrival, and jumping for joy when he heard the tooting of his father’s truck horn as he was approaching his home. John was a very artistic child that had an eye for creating beautiful pieces of artwork that he would let do his talking for him. One of his other hobbies as a child was putting together old school model cars from scratch, as he got older he soon put that talent to good use and you could often find him tinkering with cars in the front of his mother’s home to bring those old school cars to life. As a child, john often attended Church with his grandmother, affectionately known to all as “Mama Rose” he loved putting on his little suit and tie, and escorting Mama Rose to Church.

John departed this life on May 9, 2022, leaving to mourn his loss were his three daughters, Choyce, Tia and Kamyiah Weaver, along with additional siblings, Victoria Victoria Hays, Dionne McCage, LaJohna Walker, La Von Brewer, Ahmand Maples, LaTesha Maples, India Maples, and Lovous Maples, loyal and devoted special friend, Veria Robinson. John was proceeded in death by his grandmother Rosemary “Mama Rose” Stevens, and great grandmother Bessie “Ma Bessie” Thomas, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
