David Kevin Matheis

David Kevin Matheis, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. David enjoyed going on vacation to Pigeon Forge, TN for many years. He was a member of Dixie Valley Church of God. David worked at Workwell Industries for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching Westerns on TV with his father. David had a caring heart and never met a stranger, he will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on May 11, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky to Edward Matheis and Peggy Robertson. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Peggy Joyce Robertson, Grandparents, James & Sophia Robertson, and Edward & Lula Matheis.

David is survived by his Father, Edward Randel Matheis, Siblings, Willie (Theresa) Matheis, Jimmy (Vickie) Matheis, Donald Matheis, and Michael (Debbie) Matheis, Sister, Carol (Todd) Thompson. David also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Graveside Services will be Private on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Brookland Cemetery in Shepherdsville.
