Fannie Mae Thornton, 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Fannie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on November 15, 1947 in LaGrange, Kentucky to Joe and Adell (Miller) Green. She is preceded in death by her Father, Joe Green, Mother, Adell Durrett, siblings, Marvin Durrett, Tillie Murrell Durham, and Daisy C. Banks.

Fannie is survived by her loving Husband of 51 years, James W. Thornton; Daughter, Tonya F. Thornton-Gallahar; Sisters, Doris Lee and Carolyn Hinkle as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
