Robert Allen Starks

Robert "Bob" Allen Starks was born on October 07, 1946 in Bloomington, Indiana. His work on this earth ended November 09, 2021 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Bob was united in Holy Matrimony to Margie Mae Woods O'Bannon on February 20, 1973.

He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Louise (Anderson) Starks.

He loved fishing, traveling and socializing with family and friends young and old. He was a sounding board for so many, and a willing ear to others. He made a profound impression on many troubled young men as a youth counselor with the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He will be sorely missed, leaving a gapping hole in many hearts.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margie Mae Starks, four daughters; Candice Starks, Anita Beard (Dennis), Marilyn Williams (Victor), Tammy Barnes (William), three sons; Jerry Woods (Kelly), James Woods, George Woods (Pamela), two sisters; Martha J. Starks-Williams, Diane K. McAtee, seven brothers; Stanley Starks Jr., Michael L. Starks, John D. Starks, Warren P. Starks, Craig S. Starks, Anthony Starks, and Stanley Willis. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, lifelong friend Michael Freeman and so so many dear dear friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
