Jay Meurer Jr., 39, of Coxs Creek, Kentucky, met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 21, 2021 after a courageous fight with cancer.

He was born on August 3, 1982 in Louisville, Kentucky to Jay and Mary Hall Meurer. Jay worked for IUPAT as a Union Rep/Painter. He loved working with charity projects, shooting guns, and being around people. He was a loving husband and father to Rebekah, Opal, and Aleigha.

He is preceded in death by 2 angel babies; his mother, Mary Lee Meurer; and his grandparents.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Rebekah Meurer, children, Opal and Aleigha Meurer; father, Jay Thomas Meurer, Sr.; sister, Debbie Jerdon; nieces, Ashley and Leslie; nephew, Christopher; great niece Lily; great nephew, Nathan; father-in-law, Stony Blackburn; mother-in-law, Linda Saunders; and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions-East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Dr.). His Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Louisville.
