Patricia Mae (Brandenburg) Happel, 77, of Georgetown, Indiana, formerly of Floyds Knobs, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Patricia was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and a graduate of the 1962 class of Our Lady of Providence High School. She loved reading, keeping up with her grandchildren and their activities, praying the rosary with her friends at church, tending to her flowers, and traveling in her younger years.

She was born on May 17, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Amos and Mae (Snyder) Brandenburg. Along with her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her brother, Art Brandenburg.

Patricia is survived by her loving children, Marie Happel (Al) Butler, Michael Todd (Karly) Happel, Brian (Shelly) Happel, Joe (Christina) Happel, Donnie (Chandea) Happel, and Matt (Shannon) Happel; 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna (Walt) Cannon and Martha Brandenburg; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Patricia’s memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org), the Red Cross (PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839), or the 911 Memorial (www.911memorial.org/donate).
