Carolyn Marie (Hayden) Edland

Carolyn Marie (Hayden) Edland, 73, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Edland; mother, Mary Veronica Hayden; six brothers and sisters; children, Tony Brodfehrer (Danielle), Stephanie Harrod (Jeff), and Gregory Brodfehrer (Maria); and daughter-in-law, Michelle Brodfehrer. Carolyn was a loving grandmother to Taylor Brodfehrer, Ana Brodfehrer, Hayden Brodfehrer, Gabrielle Brodfehrer, Daniel Brodfehrer, Justin Harrod, Mary Margaret Brodfehrer, Elizabeth Brodfehrer, Gracie White, Liam Brodfehrer, and Henry Brodfehrer. She was loved by her husband's children, Steven Edland, Karen Edland, and Peter Edland, and their children.

Carolyn had many friends during her long career at Norton Healthcare. Her family had a deep love for her. They will miss her friendly spirit and the many good times when welcomed at her table. Carolyn's home and kitchen were always a warm and inviting space for friends and family alike.

She was preceded in death by her father, William F. Hayden; daughter, Mary Margaret Brodfehrer; and sons, James W. Brodfehrer, Jr., and David T. Brodfehrer.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
