Hattie Watts, 92, of La Grange, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

Hattie was born on August 3, 1928 in St. Augustine, Florida to Buchanan and Eddie Jowers. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Watts, grandson, Antoine Kimble, brothers, James Jowers and Willie Allen.

Hattie was a Deaconess , member of the Gospel Chorus, Sunday School attendee, and Golden Circle member at Bethany Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York, which she attended for 50 plus years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lake City, FL, from 2002 to 2007. She is currently a member of Brownsboro Baptist Church in Crestwood, KY.

She retired from New York City Health Department as a buying Agent.

Hattie is survived by her loving daughters, Patricia Marie Lewis, Qaraandin, and Denise Watts-Wilson; grandchildren, Henri Kimble (Chalise Modest), Dashan Ricardo Lewis, Katasha Yvette Lewis, Chantel Lewis, Michael Lewis, and Gregory Alexander Wilson; sister, Janie Jowers; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 5, 2021 at Brownsboro Baptist Church (7435 KY Hwy 329, Crestwood, KY) with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
