Constance Susan "Susie" Denton, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
Susie lived a colorful life. She was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, but also spent several years living in Clearwater, Florida. She was a social worker in her working career, both in Florida and Kentucky. Her desire to help children and look after them was a fulfillment of her Christian values. Susie loved all the fine arts, but especially music. 70's tunes were always her favorite, and she was never shy to sing at any time. She was a member of Kenwood Heights Christian Church and loved her church family, and was active in the "Goody Girls" ministry to help those unable to leave their homes. Susie was a giving person who never valued possessions as more important than the joy of giving. If there was ever someone who would truly give you her last cent, it was Susie. She had a quick and crazy sense of humor, and always played up her fiery Irish ancestry. Susie loved the beach and the sound of the ocean waves crashing into shore, but it was the love of her family and our Lord Jesus Christ that were the most important things in her life.
Susie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Sam and Zella Denton, and her brother, Doyle "Tony" Denton.
Susie is survived by her only child, Troy Thompson (Christy), grandchildren, Jaemes and Ian, in-laws, Patrick Brunton (Pamela), Charlie Brunton (Nicolette), and Chad, Casie, Wyatt and Gracie Pike.
