Garry Lamarr Ginkins, 79, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021.
He was born on April 7, 1942 in Borden, Indiana to Albert and Colleen (Coffman) Ginkins. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Edna Rose Ginkins. Garry proudly served and protected our country in the U.S. Army; where he was a two time Purple Heart recipient. He retired from Duke Energy and attended Radiant Church. Garry will always be remembered as a great man of Faith, who was passionate about sharing the Love of Jesus, and promoting the importance of eating healthy and taking care of your body.
Garry is survived by his loving daughters, Leslie Grow, Amy Ginkins and Kristin (Brad) Walbert, grandchildren, Logan Light, Presley and Mercy Walbert, siblings, Sharon Canary, Becky McCoy (John), Patricia (Edward) Franklin, Larry (Diane) Ginkins, Terry (Carol) Ginkins, Jerry Ginkins, and Barry (Karen) Ginkins, along with his companion, Donna Blair and her three sons, Richie, Curtis and Alec.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
