In Memory Of
Patricia Ann (Didat) Holsclaw
1937 - 2021

Patricia Ann (Didat) Holsclaw, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on April 12, 2021. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

She was born on November 26, 1937, to the late Alphonse and Leona (Becht) Didat. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Holsclaw; loving sister, Mary Alice (Didat) Cannon; and brothers, Robert, Anthony, and Jim Didat.

She is survived by her devoted children, Curtis (Cindy) Holsclaw, Chris (Kay) Holsclaw, and Cheryl (Norwood) Holsclaw; grandchildren, Jason (Jenn) Holsclaw, Erica (David) Sanford, and Leah Holsclaw; great-grandchildren, Thea Holsclaw and Scarlett Sanford. She is also survived by her brothers Elmer (Mary Ann) Didat, Jerome (Charlotte) Didat, and Rege (Suzie) Didat; sisters-in-law, Susan (Jim) Didat and Emma (Robert) Didat; brother-in-law, Daniel Cannon; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

She was a devout Catholic, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved working at the Fashion Shop and Save and volunteering at the Kentucky Center for the Arts and at Floyd Memorial Hospital in the Gift Shop. She loved to attend any dance with her friends and enjoyed many trips with good friends. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone she met. If she wasn’t working or volunteering, you could surely find her on her riding lawn mower. She loved to be outside cutting grass. She especially loved getting together with friends and family and playing Euchre or Bunko.

She will be greatly missed by all those who have loved and known her. We find peace in knowing she will be greeted in heaven by our Lord and Savior and continue to watch over us as she has her entire life here on earth.

A celebration of life mass will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary’s Road, Floyds Knobs) with a visitation luncheon to follow. Burial will take place immediately following the mass with the immediate family in the church cemetery.

In lieu of any flowers, contributions in Pat’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or masses for her at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
