Marcella Marie (Gettelfinger) Kruer, 93, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Marcella was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and loved tending to her yard and flower beds. She was skilled in crocheting and enjoyed working the family farm alongside her husband and children. Whenever she couldn't be found on the farm, she was running the roads, delivering produce with her late husband, Jude.

She was born on March 19, 1928, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Herman and Olivia (Weaver) Gettelfinger. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jude Kruer.

Marcella is survived by her loving children, Rebecca "Becky" (Terry) Cheek, Elaine (Gary) Stiller, and Gary (Connie) Kruer; grandchildren, Allison (Ishmael), Adam (Apple), Chad (Laurie), Scott (Holly), Wesley (Cynthia), Troy (Melissa), Charisse, and Kyle (Katie); great-grandchildren, Eliza, Ivan, Emma, Hayden, Colin, Shea, Grant, Luna, Jude, Mayia, Skyler, and Kinley; brother, Raymond (Dorothy) Gettelfinger; and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Marcella’s memory be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
