In Memory Of
Douglas William Gastinger
1953 - 2021

Douglas William Gastinger, age 67, became his daughters' heavenly Valentine forever when he passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Doug was born on April 6, 1953 to Leona (Widener) Gastinger and Cris G. Gastinger in Louisville, Kentucky.

Doug served in the United States Army for about 10 years serving in Osan, Korea and Wiesbaden, Germany. He received his associates degree in Applied Science at ITT Institute in 1999.

He loved Kentucky basketball and football, reading, watching movies, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and playing with his Army stuff.

Doug was a loving, loyal and kind - when he wanted to be (haha). Family will say he sure was stubborn but he loved them whole-heartily and his daughter was everything to him!

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leona & Cris Gastinger; brothers Cris Wayne Gastinger and Ronald Gastinger.

Doug is survived by his daughter: Angel (Tom) Crosky of Memphis, IN; two grandsons: Tyler (Alex) Huff of Henryville, IN and Aden Crosky of Memphis, IN; one granddaughter: Courtney Huff of Greenville, IN; sister Jeanann (Kevin) Wellman of Louisville, KY; brother Carl Gastinger of Louisville, KY; sister-in-law: Sandra Sue Gastinger of Bardstown, KY. He is also survived by five nieces: Mysti Kolbet; Devin (Cory) Gritton; Niki (Alan) Levay; Rhonda Willinger; Cesilee (Donnie) Franklin; two nephews Cris Gastinger and Landon Gastinger; five great-nieces Avaya, Miracle, Allana, Alexis and Savannah; nine great-nephews: Brenner, Cameron, Jaxon, Dalton, Austin, Brandon, Daniel, Corey and Caleb. As well as many aunts, uncles and a ton of cousins.

He will be missed by many!

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
