LLOYD B. HOUGHTON JR., 89, of Louisville, KY, died on January 7, 2021 at home. He was a native of Inkster, Michigan and at age 14 was accepted into Henry Ford Trade School and attended Fordson High School in 1949. At 19 years old he joined the Navy where he served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He then got a job at the Ford Motor Company where he started work as a skilled draftsman. He moved to Louisville from Livonia, MI 40 years ago. He retired on May 1, 1989 as the plant engineer at the Ford Louisville assembly plant. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie E. Emery; two sons, Steven B. of Elk Rapids, MI; and James L. of Louisville, KY; one daughter, Jeannie M. Schults of Milford, MI; two brothers, Albert H. of West Branch, MI; and Roger L. of Zephyrhills, MI; one sister, Pamela A. Spence of Jerome, MI; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Newcomer Funeral Home, Louisville, KY.
