Dolores Helen (Jolissaint) "Dodie" Schulte
1936 - 2021

Dolores Helen "Dodie" (Jolissaint) Schulte, 84, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Dodie attended Holy Trinity Grade School and graduated onto New Albany High School. Following high school, she was employed by the former St. Edwards Hospital as an office receptionist. It was there that Dodie met her loving husband, George. After dating for one year, they were wed at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany. After two years of employment, Dodie became a dedicated and loving housewife and mother of her 5 daughters. She was an avid member of the resurrection choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon and in her limited spare time, she loved to play bingo. She also loved to accompany George on many boating and fishing outings. Their union lasted for a blessed and happy 63 years. Because of Dodie's loving and caring personality, she will greatly be missed by all; especially her husband, daughters, grandkids, and great grandkids.

She was born on August 8, 1936 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Frank and Bertha (Ems) Jolissaint. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Valarie Schulte; and sisters, Mary Frances Jolissaint and Bertha Ann Jolissaint.

Dodie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, George Schulte; daughters, Denise Kifer, Frances Lasley, Patricia (Jim) Mersmann, and Jean (Samuel F. II) Wolfe; sisters, Theresa (Ed) Leavy, Carylon Seger, and Marylon Ehlers; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
